I built a laundry first. The software grew out of it.
I'm Máté Király, a 33-year-old entrepreneur from Budapest. I studied economics and started my first business while I was still a student. I still run it today: Neatly, a linen-rental service built for short-term rental apartments.
Every day we supply around 2,000 apartments in Budapest with fresh linen, and we complete close to 100,000 deliveries a year, with annual revenue above €1.5 million. More recently we have started working for hotels as well. We owe that growth, and our leading position in the short-term rental market, to one habit: we never stopped improving the way we work.
With our own laundry plant, a fleet of 17 vehicles and close to 50 people, we are not only a laundry. Along the way we also became a software company.
One is impossible without the other. We can only offer real software to other laundries because we use it every day ourselves, keep improving it, and feel how much easier it makes the work. Neatly Laundry OS is the result.
